# Track desktop and mobile rankings

> Choose the device for a rank tracking report and compare equivalent desktop and mobile results.

Canonical: https://docs.georanker.com/docs/mobile-rank-tracking

Track each device separately to understand how your website appears in desktop and mobile search results.

## Create a mobile report

1. Select your campaign and open **Rank Tracker**.
2. Choose **New Rank Tracker Report** and give the report a clear name, such as `Booking US Mobile`.
3. In **Engines & Device**, choose **Mobile** and the search engine you want to track.
4. Complete the website, keywords, and locations. To compare with a desktop report, use the same website, keywords, search engine, locations, and result depth.
5. Review the settings, select **I confirm the inputs are correct**, and click **Create Report**.

See [the complete report setup](https://docs.georanker.com/docs/ranktracker) for the full walkthrough.

## Compare the results

Open each report's **Overview** and choose the same search engine, location, and date range. Compare the same keywords in the ranking table, then use **Ranking History** to look at changes over time.

In our example, `Booking US` and `Booking US Mobile` keep the two views easy to find. A consistent naming pattern helps when a campaign has several reports.

The **Desktop** and **Mobile** controls in an existing report reflect the data that report contains. A disabled control does not convert the report to another device. Create a separate report when you need data for the other device.

[Schedule both reports](https://docs.georanker.com/docs/start-a-monitor) if you want to follow changes regularly.
