# Inspect a SERP snapshot

> Capture search results for a keyword, location, and device, then inspect the competing pages.

See the results your page is competing with for a specific search. A **SERP Snapshot** captures a point in time; use it to understand the result types, titles, and pages in that market.

## Create the snapshot

1. Select your campaign and open **SERP Snapshot**.
2. Select **New SERP Report**. Give it a clear name and enter up to 10 keywords. You can also use **From List** or **Import CSV**.
3. Select the search engines, result depth, and **Desktop** or **Mobile**. Choose **10 results** to inspect the first ten captured positions.
4. Choose a country and, if needed, a state/region or city. Select **Add** for each location. Leave the city blank to target the whole country.
5. Select **Create Report**. Wait until the keyword has a result count instead of **PENDING**.
6. Open the keyword row to see its captured results.

Our illustrated example uses `hotels in New York`, Google, desktop, United States, and 10 organic results. Scroll through all ten to compare the pages competing for that search.

## Find the useful details

Use the engine, location, and device controls to stay in the right search context. Switch between **All**, **Organic**, and **Ads**. The summary shows the result count, unique domains, ads found, and your best rank when available.

Each result includes its position, title, URL, and snippet. **Copy URL** lets you take a page into your own research. **Back to Keywords** returns to the keyword list.

Look for the kinds of pages that appear repeatedly: category pages, articles, homepages, or local listings. Match your page to the search intent before changing its title or content.

A snapshot describes the selected capture, not every search a user may see. For changes over time, [set up rank tracking](https://docs.georanker.com/docs/ranktracker).
